CLIMB THE WALL

{2017, short doc - 7 minutes}

Climb The Wall

A set of blue rock walls located under the Manhattan Bridge on the Dumbo waterfront is the site of a seasonal bouldering gym known as Dumbo Boulders.

Climb the Wall looks at this space that is home to a great community of climbers, who come to train and work on their technique all while enjoying an outdoor climb in the midst of the beauties of New York's downtown landscape. With spectacular views of the East River, and the Manhattan skyline, the loud trains running above become a trivial issue.

Climb The Wall was screened at Fine Cuts Film Festival in New York in May 2017.

It was featured on Avidblogs under the Avid Sponsored Film Festivals for the next generation of filmmakers.

While Rock Climbing is a rapidly growing sport in the US, outdoor climbing in New York City remains sparse. Dumbo Boulders successfully offers climbers a city version of a mountain top. The challenge is you've got to top up to catch the view!
